B&Q is not worried about selling out of rope this weekend, and they are not urging their employees to read Fifty Shades of Grey. The company did, however, publish a blog post on 11 February 2015 explaining how to properly use zip ties, duct tape, and rope:
Following the film release of Fifty Shades of Grey, B&Q employees may encounter increased customer product queries relating to rope, cable ties and masking or duck tape. Store Managers should anticipate the need for extra stock and store staff should read the following brief to prepare them to handle potentially sensitive customer questions.
Preview footage depicts a notable scene from the book where Christian Grey visits a hardware store to purchase rope, cable ties and tape. Rather than bought for home improvement purposes, these products are intended to fulfil Mr Grey's unconventional sexual pursuits.
Store managers are requested to monitor stock levels of rope, cable ties, masking tape and duck tape to ensure that supplies do not run low. Fifty Shades of Grey is released in cinemas on Saturday 14th February 2015 and the busiest sales periods for these products are expected to run from Sunday 15th February to Sunday 1st March 2015 with a focus on weekend trading.
The statement continued, \\\"The student was not excluded from taking part in any of the activities as has been wrongly reported, his costume was modified and he was then able to fully participate and enjoy the day with his peers. The aim of our world book day events was to celebrate and encourage reading and we are disappointed that what was a fantastic day for our students, has been marred by this issue.\\\"
Teachers at Sale High School in Northwestern England sent 11-year-old Liam Scholes home on Thursday after he arrived at the school dressed as \"50 Shade's\" Christian Grey. His costume included the signature suit and was decorated with cable ties and an eye mask. AP reports that he was asked to change into something a bit more appropriate before returning to the school.

I'm a 30-something south Floridan who loves the beach but cannot swim. Such is my life, full of small contradictions and little trivialities. My main life goals are never to take life too seriously, but to do everything I attempt seriously well. After that, my life goals devolve into things like not wearing pants and eating all of the Zebra Cakes in the world. THE WORLD.
Adult Toys, Hardware Supplies The New York Times recently reported that the success of the Fifty Shades books resulted in a sizeable increase in sales of once-obscure sex-themed products, and that the film's release is expected to bring about a second wave of \"adult toy\" sales. Perhaps what's most surprising of all is that some of these Fifty Shades-themed products are being sold by mainstream retailers like Target and (in England) Tesco. Another British retailer, hardware store B&Q, has alerted staffers to become familiar with Fifty Shades, be sensitive about inquiries into seemingly odd product inquiries, and to \"monitor stock levels of rope, cable ties, masking tape and [duct] tape to ensure that supplies do not run low.\"
In related news, authorities in London have expressed concern that the release of the film is likely to lead to a spike in emergency calls from couples trying to imitate what they see on the screen. \"The Fifty Shades effect seems to spike handcuff incidents so we hope film-goers will use common sense and avoid leaving themselves red-faced,\" a London Fire Brigade official said.
Hotel Packages Hotels in Portland, Ore., (where Fifty Shades is set) and South Florida, among other spots, are offering Fifty Shades-themed guest packages with amenities like a gray silk tie, Champagne, chocolates, and \"a sensual love kit.\"
I soon read that they were using Ladner Village Hardware, 4821 Delta St., Ladner, Canada, as the filming location for Claytons. Ladner Village is a quaint town in the Delta area south west of Vancouver B.C. The whole village is made up of older looking buildings with peak roofs and lots of old world charm. This is a heritage community with wide, boulevarded sidewalks, open-air cafes and local shops. There are some heritage residences in this area, mostly built in the 1930s, but apartment complexes replaced many of them some decades back. The Delta Museum and Archives are in the center of Ladner Village, along with a town clock that is amongst the oldest in the Lower Mainland. Its about a 20 minute drive from downtown Vancouver B.C. For the filming it looked like they used the indoors and front entrance of the building. When I walked into the store it immediatley struck me as going back in time. The old linoleum floors and narrow aisles added to the feeling. The shelves were packed with everything you would expect in a hardware store, plus other everyday items and some childrens toys too.For the filming Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan were on hand to play out the book part where Christian Grey shows up at her work and purchases some rope, cable ties, masking tape and coveralls. He then leaves the store.

Designed specifically for outdoor applications, the ski / security ties are an affordable substitute for metal wickets. It is not surprising, then, that much of the criticism of Fifty Shades has come from feminists delivering frontline services to women fleeing domestic abuse. The most high-profile campaign against the film, hash-tagged #50dollarsnot50shades, encourages potential viewers to recognize this connection by donating the price of their cinema tickets to a local refuge.
It has received mixed to negative reviews, as most critics noted the poor literary qualities of the work. Salman Rushdie said about the book: \"I've never read anything so badly written that got published. It made Twilight look like War and Peace.\" Maureen Dowd described the book in The New York Times as being written \"like a Brontë devoid of talent,\" and said it was \"dull and poorly written.\" Jesse Kornbluth of The Huffington Post said: \"As a reading experience, Fifty Shades ... is a sad joke, puny of plot\".
I saw this bouquet (above and below) of white peonies and pink tulips, interspersed with the softest, almost blue-grey foliage the other day and was wowed by that delicate, exquisite color combination. And clearly I'm not the only one, as I noticed when I perused the Dessy Real Wedding Pinterest boards; there were all manner of stunning grey bridesmaids dresses ranging from the palest Dove to a more robust Charcoal. And of course, the grey marries so well with the Groom and Groomsmen's suits too - perfection! 153554b96e
